Professor, Faculty of Social Sciences, Waseda University. Ph.D. in Agriculture. He specializes in Environmental Economics. He became Professor at Waseda University in April 2002 after serving as Assistant Professor of Department of Forestry at Kyoto University and Lecturer of School of Social Sciences at Waseda University. His major publications include The Global Environment and Environmental Economics (Seibundo, 1997); "Feasibility and optimality of sustainable growth under materials balance", Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control (2007); and "Tax schemes in a class of differential games", Economic Theory (2008).
