Dr. Masato Kamikubo is Assistant Professor at Waseda University Global COE Program: Global Institute for Asian Regional Integration (GIARI)(2007.11.1-2010.03.31), Visiting Research Fellow at Organisation of Asian Studies, Waseda University, Lecturer at School of International Liberal Studies (SILS), Waseda University, and Lecturer at Faculty of Law, Rikkyo (St. Paul's) University.(2009.04.01-2010.03.31). He earned his PhD in Politics and International Studies from University of Warwick, UK. His research interests are Contemporary Japanese politics, public administration, and international political economy. The title of his PhD thesis is 'Bureaucratic Behaviour and Policy Change: Reforming the Role of Japan's Ministry of Finance'. His recent publications include "Kanryo Koudou to Seisaku Henka: 1990 Nendai no Ohkurasho Kikou Kaikaku wo Jirei to Shite (Bureaucratic Behaviour and Policy Change: A Case of Organisational Reform of Japan's Ministry of Finance in the 1990s)", Nihon Seiji Kenkyu, (Vol.5, Issue 1&2, 2008). He publishes various articles about Japanese politics on magazines and on-line journals as "Seshu Sori wo Sodateta Jiminto Chouki Seiken (Long-term Regime of Liberal Democratic Party Nurturing 'Hereditary' Prime Ministers), Chuo Koron (August 2009).
