The Sixth Round of the Research and Investigation Support Scheme (winter term of fiscal year 2009) was awarded to 5 recipients. The institute issued the support scheme to doctoral students conducting fieldwork and presenting their research overseas. The 5 recipients were selected out of 13 applicants through a document screening process made open to students of Waseda University. The scheme provided JPY 140,000 to 280,000 to each recipient, totaling JPY 1.05 million awarded by the institute.
