リサーチ目的

The annual International Conference on Business and Economics, was seeking papers covering contemporary academic and business topics. The aim is to bring together academics and professionals from various fields of Business and Economics and provide them an opportunity to exchange ideas and practices towards an improved future. It was organized by The Anatolia Institute of Management Leadership (IML) at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) which provides advanced education and training to senior managers and leaders in both the private and public sectors in Southeast Europe. Conference, seminar, and training programs at the Anatolia IML allow current and future leaders to learn about cutting edge concepts, developments and best practices in the field of leadership and to improve their individual and organizational effectiveness skills. The Anatolia IML draws heavily on the expertise of ACT's graduate business school faculty as well as on the institution's global network of alumni and associates to ensure an unmatched professional experience.

Thus, the primary objectives of participating in the conference is to disseminate my paper entitled "Regionalism in East Asia, The Role of North east Asian nations

研究課題

This is a part of my PhD research, the project is aimed to seek future the trend towards the formation of East Asian Regionalism. Although a late comer, regionalism in East Asia is becoming a snow ball effect. Countries excluded from such scheme will only find themselves worse off. Regionalism in East Asia will be here to stay, so the idea is about how to make regionalism works.

Furthermore, this research also identifies a number of economic and political factors that can support the formation of East Asian Regionalism in the long run.

成果

The paper was presented in the "International Conference in Business and Economics 2010" at American College of Thessaloniki, Greece. I had some fruitful comments from Professors and colleagues in order to enhance my research. An intense discussion happened with regards the factors that will make regionalism in East Asia happen in the future. Some socio political variables are subject to a deeper investigation.

Finally, my utmost gratitude for GIARI's generous financial support and valuable guidance from Professor Shujiro Urata that gave me the opportunity to disseminate my paper.
